Using the PrizePicks app is supposed to be fun! But sometimes, a hobby can turn into an unhealthy habit, and making sports and culture picks is no exception.

Whether your picks are correct or not, you might find yourself being drawn to try again without consideration of potential risks. The information on this page can help you stay aware of your habits and develop a plan to maintain control.

We want all PrizePicks Members to have a safe and enjoyable experience on our platform. That's why our app has built-in limits to safeguard you from depositing or submitting picks too much, or too often. We also require all Members to verify their age before creating an account. Anyone under the age of 18 will not be permitted to use PrizePicks, no matter what. If an eligible jurisdiction requires a higher age threshold, PrizePicks will honor the rules of that region. This means it may be possible for you to make picks in certain regions while being restricted in others.

We also provide customizable tools that allow you to take control of your experience, by making it easy to take a break if and when you need to.

We want to be clear: setting boundaries for yourself is not an indication that you have a problem. It's an effective way to make sure you don't develop habits that negatively affect your experience. We encourage you to explore the Responsible Gaming Tools and resources available in our app, and to make use of them as needed.‍

What kind of usage tools are available?

PrizePicks features several resources that are designed to provide a safe, responsible, and secure experience.

This includes:

Alerts: Receive notifications if you go over your preselected daily, weekly, or monthly thresholds for app activity.

‍Limits: Set self-imposed daily, weekly, or monthly deposit or entry fee limits for at least 90 days.

‍Timeouts: Temporarily disable your ability to make picks or deposit funds for a period between 1 and 30 days.

‍Self-Exclusion: Temporarily disable all access to your account and block all marketing notifications for 30 days or more. ‍

‍How do I access these tools?‍‍

Log into your account and look for the “Responsible Gaming” tab on the dropdown menu located in the top left corner of the PrizePicks app. If you are using the browser app, the dropdown menu is located in the top right corner instead or at the very bottom of the screen in the footer.‍

‍Can I permanently deactivate my PrizePicks account?

‍Yes, if you feel that using PrizePicks is having a detrimental effect on your health and well-being, you can permanently deactivate your account. Scroll down to the Self-Exclusion section of the Responsible Gaming Tools and select "LIFETIME" from the dropdown menu.

If you choose to do this, you will not be able to reactivate your account or create a new account for any reason. For your own protection, you will also be permanently barred from creating a new account.

If you want to delete your account for a reason unrelated to your usage habits, please refer to instructions on the Deactivation page instead.

‍What if I have unused funds left in my account when I self-exclude?

‍If you have funds left in your account, we recommend you withdraw them BEFORE you finalize your self-exclusion. You will not have access to your account once you submit your request.

If your self-exclusion has an end date (i.e. any selection other than LIFETIME), you will need to wait until the full period of time has elapsed before you can access your funds.‍

‍Can I edit or cancel my limit, timeout, or self-exclusion decision after I hit save?

‍No. For your protection, you may not edit or delete any usage limitations you initiate until the specified time period has passed.

‍What should I do if I suspect a minor is using PrizePicks?

‍If you believe that a minor under your care, or any minor, is using PrizePicks, especially if they have used the personal information of an adult family member to create or operate an account, please contact us immediately at [email protected]. Our team will take appropriate action to investigate and ensure compliance with our strict age verification policies. We are committed to protecting minors and promoting responsible play.
