Best Rush Yard Predictions: Week 2
Here are the top rush yard projections for QB and RB to target for NFL Week 2 on PrizePicks.
Jets RB Breece Hall & QB Justin Fields vs. Bills
In Week 1, the Bills run defense was one of the league’s worst — though they faced the league's best.
They allowed 3.24 yards after contact per carry — the second most in the NFL — while also surrendering 4.31 yards before contact, which ranked first in the league. This combination led to the Bills giving up a massive 8.21 yards per carry on 29 attempts, along with three rush TDs.
On the other side, the Jets had their way on the ground against a tough Steelers front. They ranked inside the top 10 in yards per carry with 4.67 and nearly cracked the top five in yards before contact at 2.33.
The Jets were also one of only four teams to score three rush TDs in Week 1 and finished second in rushing first downs with 13.
QB Justin Fields had 48 rush yards on 12 carries on nine designed runs — a promising sign for the dual-threat quarterback's fantasy outlook. He'll face a Bills defense that just gave up 70 yards to Lamar Jackson.
Despite all the talk of RB Breece Hall losing his grip on the Jets backfield, he exploded for 107 yards on 19 carries, adding another 38 yards receiving. Braelon Allen had just six carries on 31% snap share.
NFL Week 2 Predictions: Breece Hall – 55.5 Rush Yards, Justin Fields – 43.5 Rush Yards
Cowboys RB Javonte Williams vs. Giants
The Cowboys RB room looked like a mess coming into the season; even as the Cowboys committed to Javonte Williams as their RB1, experts found it hard to believe. Williams has not averaged over 4.3 yards per carry since his 2022 season-ending injury in Denver.
But after Week 1, it's clear that the Cowboys weren't bluffing — Williams is their RB1 to start the year, and he has a near bellcow role. In Week 1, Williams took 7% of the snaps, with 15 carries, 54 yards, 2 TDs, and adding 2 receptions.
Assuming we see a similar workload for the North Carolina product in Week 2 — especially as rookie RB Jaydon Blue may continue to be a healthy scratch due to work ethic question marks — a matchup vs. the Giants is much more promising than last week's vs. the Eagles.
Until Blue is active and earns a role, Williams should control this backfield.
The Commanders salted away their lead with ease vs. the Giants in Week 1, rushing for 220 yards on 32 carries (6.9 yards per attempt) in that matchup.
NFL Week 2 Prediction: Javonte Williams – 53.5 Rush Yards
WR vs. CB Matchups: Week 2
These are the top WR vs. CB matchups to take advantage of in NFL DFS on PrizePicks this week.
Rams WR Davante Adams vs. Titans CB Jarvis Brownlee Jr
Titans CB Jarvis Brownlee Jr. struggled last season, allowing a 104+ passer rating across over 900 snaps. He gave up 55 total receptions and over 12 yards per reception, putting him near the bottom of the league in coverage metrics.
To start the 2025 season, Brownlee is off to a similar pace — he’s already allowed four receptions for eight yards per catch and a 93+ passer rating in one game.
This week, he faces a tough assignment in veteran WR Davante Adams. Despite playing with a revolving door of quarterbacks last season between the Jets and Raiders, Adams still finished with 8 TDs, cracked the top 15 in most key receiving metrics, posted over 1,000 receiving yards on 85 receptions.
In his 2025 debut with the Rams, Adams had in 4 catches for 50+ yards on 8 targets, averaging nearly 13 yards per reception. He looks like an every down WR, playing 90%. of the snaps in Week 1. It’s shaping up to be a very difficult matchup for Brownlee Jr. on the perimeter.
NFL Week 2 Prediction: Davante Adams – 5 Receptions, 59.5 Receiving Yards

Jets WR Garrett Wilson vs. Bills CB Chritstian Benford
The Buffalo Bills secondary could be one of the league’s weakest units this season, as they finished 2024 as the 20th ranked pass defense in dropback EPA. Bills CBChristian Benford’s early performance reflects that concern.
In Week 1, Benford surrendered a disastrous 158 passer rating, allowing 5 catches for over 16 yards per reception in his matchup against the Ravens.
Jets WR Garrett Wilson now comes into this contest off a tough opener against the Steelers, where he was shadowed by All-Pro CB Jalen Ramsey. Even so, Wilson still delivered a strong showing: 8 targets, 7 receptions, nearly 100 receiving yards, and a TD.
Last season, Wilson ranked top 20 in receiving yards, receptions, targets, and receiving TDs — finishing with over 100 catches and more than 1,000 yards.
Against this shaky Bills secondary, Wilson could be in line for another standout performance, as he looks to already have rapport with Fields, totaling a whopping 58% of his team's air yards in Week 1.
Wilson's Week 2 projection is set at 62.5 receiving yards on PrizePicks — he had more than that number in both games vs. the Bills last year, with 107 and 66 yards.
NFL Week 2 Prediction: Garrett Wilson – 62.5 Receiving Yards

Jaguars TE Brenton Strange vs. Bengals
Two teams stood out in Week 1 for poor tight end coverage — and one of them was the Cincinnati Bengals. LB Demetrius Knight Jr. allowed a horrible 100 passer rating in coverage and Bengals allowed 10 catches for 100 yards to the Browns tight end duo.
This week, the Bengals face Jaguars TE Brenton Strange, the former second-round pick out of Penn State. Strange is becoming a growing piece of Jacksonville’s offensive scheme, playing 79% of the snaps in Week 1 as the main receiving TE — a higher snap share than he had in 15 of 17 games last year playing behind Evan Engram.
In Week 1, Strange hauled in all 4 of his targets for 59 yards, averaging over 14 yards per reception. Last season, even behind Engram on the depth chart, Strange posted 40 catches for 400 yards, ranking inside the top 30 in both categories among NFL tight ends.
In a game where the Jaguars should need to keep up with the Bengals, expect the Jaguars to throw more than their Week 1 win vs. the Panthers.
NFL Week 2 Prediction: Brenton Strange – 33.5 Receiving Yards
Dolphins TE Tanner Conner vs. Patriots
The second team that struggled vs. tight ends was the New England Patriots. They allowed 9 receptions for 141 yards to Raiders TEs Brock Bowers and Michael Mayer, giving up over 15 yards per reception.
LB Christian Ellis was allowed an atrocious 114 passer rating in coverage.
The Dolphins may look to exploit this weakness with their own tight end rotation. With Darren Waller still not practicing, Miami rolled with an unknown, formerly undrafted TE in Tanner Conner in Week 1.
Conner saw four targets in Week 1, catching two of them for 20 yards and a strong 10 yards per catch.
Among all tight ends in Week 1, he ranked inside the top 15 in targets and could serve as a deep sleeper this week in a favorable matchup against a vulnerable Patriots defense.
Best OL vs. DL Matchups to Target: Week 2
Here are the best OL vs. DL mismatches to target in NFL Week 2 for NFL DFS on PrizePicks.
Eagles OL > Chiefs DL
The Eagles offensive line is projected to be one of the top units in the NFL this season, continuing their dominance from last year, including in the Super Bowl vs. the Chiefs.
LT Jordan Mailata ranked inside the top five among all tackles in 2024, per PFF and didn’t allow a single QB hit, while giving up just one sack over more than 800 snaps. On the opposite end, RT Lane Johnson was equally impressive, allowing only one QB hit and zero sacks across over 900 snaps.
Eagles C Cam Jurgens stepped in last season and excelled. playing over 1,000 snaps and allowing just one QB hit and four total sacks. Just two years removed from the draft, Jurgens is already ranked as a top-10 center in the league.
Meanwhile, the Chiefs’ defensive line is one of the most disappointing units on this team. DE Mike Danna recorded only 3.5 sacks in 2024, placing him outside the top 65 in the league.
Former first-round DE George Karlaftis also struggled to live up to his draft status, finishing with just e=8 sacks and ranking outside the top 25.
On the interior, DT Chris Jones produced a career-low 6 sacks in 2024, failing to hit double digits for the first time in recent years. In fact, not a single player on the Chiefs’ defensive line registered 10 or more sacks last season, raising major concerns ahead of this matchup with Philadelphia’s elite unit.
NFL Week 2 Prediction: Jalen Hurts – 206.5 Pass Yards
Giants DL > Cowboys OL
The Cowboys enter 2025 with a reconstructed and inexperienced offensive line that looks vulnerable.
First-round pick Tyler Guyton from Oklahoma struggled immediately in Week 1, allowing five total pressures in his NFL debut. His issues stretch back to last season, where he gave up 26 pressures and ranked outside the top 100.
First-round rookie OG Tyler Booker allowed two pressures in his debut, which is cause for concern. OG Terence Steele hasn’t been much better, allowing nine sacks and 41 total pressures in 2024 in over 1,000 snaps, which places him among the lowest-graded guards in the NFL.
In contrast, the Giants’ defensive line could be one of the best in the league this year.
First-round EDGE Abdul Carter from Penn State already made an impact in his debut, recording four QB pressures and 0.5 sacks vs. Commanders QB Jayden Daniels.
He joins a dangerous front led by Brian Burns, who came over from Carolina and delivered a strong 2024 season with nearly 8.5 sacks and 61 total pressures, ranking top 15.
In the middle, Dexter Lawrence remains one of the most dominant interior defenders. The All-Pro racked up over 36 pressures and 10 sacks last year, placing him inside the top five among all interior defensive linemen.
We could see this young Giants defensive line cause issues for Dak Prescott, though he did handle the Eagles' 13 QB pressures in Week 1 with poise in Week 1.
NFL Week 2 Prediction: George Pickens – 55.5 Receiving Yards
