6 Players to Buy Low, Sell High for Week 3: Buy Drake London, Sell James Connor

Fantasy football can be a cruel joke. You spend so much time researching and doing mock drafts, just to lose to someone who auto-drafted most of their roster. With many top players like Falcons WR Drake London and struggling in the first two weeks, the NFL landscape is always unpredictable.

You could be 2-0 and feeling good about your team, but you have to know if your players, like Detroit WR Jameson Williams, can sustain these expectations or if it's a smoke screen.

We’ll highlight three players to sell in fantasy football while they're riding high, and three players to buy after a low-lying Week 2.

Plus, we'll break down their projections for Week 3 on PrizePicks — where you can pick More or Less on player stats to win real money during the 2025 NFL season.

Fantasy Football Buy Low: Week 3

Here are some key players to buy low on for fantasy football ahead of Week 3, as well as their projections on PrizePicks' NFL DFS game this week.

Falcons WR Drake London

London only has 104 receiving yards and has yet to find the end zone through two weeks, but his time is coming.

Do not be concerned about the drop-off from 15 targets in Week 1 to 4 in Week 2; last week, the Falcons played a brutal Vikings pass defense that is second in dropback EPA since the beginning of 2024 (-0.043). That game turned into a defensive battle with both teams struggling to move the ball.

Falcons QB Michael Penix Jr. wants to get the ball to his top wide receiver. London is leading the team’s target share with 33.3% and his 46.7% first read target share vs. man coverage is fourth in the league.

This is also a buy low on Penix by proxy; Penix looks like a true professional so far this year, with 0 turnover-worthy throws, per PFF, grading as the 13th best passing QB in the NFL through two games.

The 6-foot-4 WR towers over most defenders, and that’s why he will continue to get the targets, and the production will follow.

  • 5.5 receptions
  • 63.5 yards
  • 14.5 fantasy score

Packers WR Matthew Golden

Packers first-round rookie WR Matthew Golden had only 15 rushing yards and 0 receptions on 2 targets in Week 2; however, that game had two “oh what could have been” moments.

Golden ran well throughout the game; he was consistently open, but Jordan Love was not finding him. On the two targets Golden did get, one was underthrown — which would have been in a 10-yard TD — and the other was overthrown, which could have been a 90-yard TD.

Golden could have been one of the top wide receivers of the week if Love had better throws. The good thing? He's getting open, and now he's playing more.

The positive is that he went from being on the field in 48% of the Packers' offensive snaps in Week 1 to 59% Week 2, which only trailed Romeo Doubs among wide receivers. As the 2025 first-round pick gets more reps and builds a connection with Love, the talent will take over.

Giants RB Cam Skattebo

Giants rookie RB Cam Skattebo was on this list last week, but he’s worth mentioning again because of his performance in Week 2.

It only took a week, but Skattebo out-snapped RB Tyrone Tracy 35-28 and out-carried him 11-5 vs. the Cowboys. The angriest runner in Week 1 had another game where he was hard to take down with 3.18 yards after contact and 3 missed tackles forced.

Daboll was happy with what he saw from his rookie running back, saying he was "running good," but wouldn’t go as far as to say he was the feature back.

Instead, Daboll noted the running back situation could be a “week-to-week deal,” but his ability to power through the line of scrimmage, block, and contribute on passing downs will help him increase that snap share even further.

Fantasy Football Sell High: Week 3

Here are some key players to sell high on for fantasy football after overachieving in Week 2, plus their projections on PrizePicks' NFL fantasy game this week.

Lions WR Jameson Williams

Detroit’s offense returned to its 2024 form and scored 52 points against the Bears in Week 2. Lions WR Jameson Williams played a large part with 108 receiving yards. The problem is, that all came from only two catches, one of which included a 64-yard touchdown.

Coming into the year, it looked like WIlliams' role a deep ball merchant could evolve.

Williams is a prime example of a boom-or-bust player; according to FantasyPros, last year he had four weeks where he finished in the top ten among wide receivers, but finished outside the top 30 six times, including two outside the top 100.

That type of inconsistency is difficult to keep on your roster, especially when he has to fight for shares with WR Amon-Ra St. Brown, TE Sam LaPorta, and RB Jahmyr Gibbs.

There also could be another hand dipping into the cookie jar with Lions head coach Dan Campbell saying he wants to use more of human highlight reel Isaac TeSlaa.

Only once did Williams finish in the top ten in consecutive weeks last season, so this week is the time to sell.

Jaguars RB Travis Etienne Jr.

Jaguars RB Travis Etienne Jr. had a great Week 1 with 143 rushing yards on 16 carries, but he couldn’t get half of that in Week 2, with 71. Even though he has led the team in carries in each game, RB Bhayshul Tuten saw a big boost in snaps last week after the departure of Tank Bigsby.

Bigsby may have been traded trade not because they believe in Etienne Jr., but rather in Tuten. Jaguars head coach Liam Coen cited the reason for the Bigsby trade was that he thought Tuten looked impressive during training camp.

The rookie out of Virginia Tech saw an increase in snap percentage, going from 6% in Week 1 to 25% in Week 2. With that increased playing time, he had 8 carries for 42 yards and added 32 receiving yards and a TD on two catches.

We’ve seen Coen gradually change who becomes the featured back. When he was the offensive coordinator for the Buccaneers last year, RB Rachaad White was the featured running back with over 60% of the snaps in six of the first nine games.

Slowly, rookie RB Bucky Irving started to get more playing time, and by the end of the season, he out-snapped White in six of the final eight games.

  • 13.5 rush attempts
  • 56.5 rushing yards
  • 12.5 receiving yards

Cardinals RB James Connor

Arizona could shift their backfield sooner rather than later, as RB James Connor is averaging just 3.2 yards per carry, a career low. There was a shift in snap shares from Week 1 to 2; Connor took 12 more snaps than RB Trey Benson in Week 1, but that gap dropped to only 6 snaps in Week 2.

Benson is earning a stellar 7.6 yards per carry, and he’s been getting more opportunities as a pass catcher with routes run on 86.7% of passing plays, compared to Connor’s 73.3%.

Connor is 30 years old, which is usually the start of the decline for a running back. He also has a history of injuries and has missed at least one game each of his eight seasons.
