It was a thrilling Week 1 in the NFL, especially as 12 of 16 games were decided by one possession. We also witnessed some impressive performances, like QB Daniel Jones' debut with the Colts, where he scored 3 total TDs.
As we dive into this week's buy low and sell high players for fantasy football, the big question is: can the starts of Week 1 keep up that level for your fantasy team? And who will be better in Week 2?
We’ll highlight three players to sell in fantasy football while they're riding high, and three players to buy after low-lying Week 1. Plus, we'll breakdown their projections for Week 2 on PrizePicks — where you can pick More or Less on player stats to win real money during the 2025 NFL season.

Fantasy Football Buy Low: Week 2
Here are some key players to buy low on for fantasy football ahead of Week 2, as well as their projections on PrizePicks' NFL fantasy game this week.
Cowboys QB Dak Prescott
This is an opportunity to grab a historically reliable fantasy QB for the potential price of a backup, just like he went in fantasy drafts.
He threw for just 188 yards and 0 TDs in Week 1, but Prescott caught some bad luck in the Week 1 loss to the Eagles. The prime culprit is the usually reliable WR CeeDee Lamb dropping four passes. Last year, he had the fourth-lowest drop rate among wide receivers (3.9%).
Prescott has the capabilities to be a top fantasy quarterback and has three seasons with 4,000+ passing yards and 30+ TDs; only Patrick Mahomes has done this more times (4).
Prescott has a solid group of pass catchers, including Lamb, offseason addition WR George Pickens, and TE Jake Ferguson. The team has the components to replicate Prescott’s previous production levels.
Seahawks RB Kenneth Walker III
Kenneth Walker III managers could be hitting the panic button after he had just 10 carries for 20 yards, while his teammate, RB Zach Charbonnet, had 12 carries for 47 yards.
Even though Charbonnet had more carries, if you add Walker’s 3 receptions, he out-touched Charbonnet, 13-12. This is a chance to get a running back that can help you win your matchup any given week.
Last year, Walker finished in the top 15 in fantasy points scored six times, including in the top 10 three times.
Charbonnet out-snapped Walker 30-21, but that might be an outlier since in 2024, Walker played more snaps than Charbonnet in 11 of 12 games they played together. Walker's reduced workload could be due to missing training camp, but he should return to his regular role and production.
Giants RB Cam Skattebo
Rookie RB Cam Skattebo's NFL debut doesn’t look great on paper; 2 carries for -3 yards, but he had some impact in the receiving game by catching both of his targets for 12 receiving yards. He shed 3 tackles and had 8 yards after contact on those 2 receptions.
This is something the coaches will see on tape this week and should help Skattebo get more opportunities. Skattebo was a late pick in fantasy drafts, and may even be an after thought on rosters now, in favor of popular RB waiver wire pickups. You will not have to give up much to get a guy who could end up leading the Giants' backfield.
He is a rookie who was injured in training camp, so it will take some time to get into the rhythm of this offense. The Giants' offense needs a spark, and Skattebo has that potential.
Fantasy Football Sell High: Week 2
Here are some key players to sell high on for fantasy football after overachieving in Week 1, plus their projections on PrizePicks' NFL fantasy game this week.
Colts QB Daniel Jones
This is a great chance to sell off Danny Dimes to a Giants fan who believed he wasn’t the problem. He had a great Colts debut vs. the Dolphins with 272 yards, 1 passing TD, and 2 rushing TDs.
He also accomplished a rare feat as the Colts scored on every one of their offensive possessions, something that hadn’t been done since 1977.
It’s unclear whether he can sustain this production in a new home, or if he just exposed a bad Miami defense that looked dysfunctional. His recent history shows he has turnover problems, with 10 TDs and 13 INTs in the previous 16 games.
Now is the time to shop him around before he faces the Broncos, who allowed just 62 passing yards in Week 1 to rookie Cam Ward.
Cowboys RB Javonte Williams
The Cowboys revamped the running back position and brought in Javonte Williams from the Broncos, former Panthers RB Miles Sanders, and drafted RB Jaydon Blue out of Texas (who was inactive in Week 1).
Williams was named the starting RB and had 12 carries for 54 yards with 2 TDs from short distance in the Week 1 loss to the Eagles. Those scores helped turn in what could have been a disappointing day.
You cannot rely on him to find the end-zone every week, though the Cowboys did rely on him at the goal-line.
That 77% snap share he had might decrease in the coming weeks, though it doesn't seem likely to come in Week 2, even as the more versatile RB.
Even with this news, it’s hard to believe that Blue will be off the field much longer, and when he is ready to go, he should take carries away from Williams.
Commanders WR Deebo Samuel
A healthy Deebo Samuel is one of the more impactful players in football, but this could be a situation where he might have peaked early in the season.
He led all Commanders pass catchers in Week 1 with 10 targets, 7 receptions, 77 receiving yards, and a 19-yard rushing TD. That may be the peak game we get from Deebo this year.
WR Terry McLaurin remains the top option in this offense, and with missing most of training camp due to an injury, he just needs to get into game shape.
QB Jayden Daniels also likes to spread the ball around, as he targeted eight pass catchers in Week 1.
Washington is one of the more run-heavy teams; last year, the Commanders ranked seventh in run-play percentage (47.42%), and after Week 1, they rank tenth (49.23%).
