Dream vs. Valkyries Prediction, Spread, Over/Under – Friday, June 26

After a scorching hot 30-14 season that ended in a third consecutive first-round playoff exit, it’s been a dream of a campaign — pun intended — for Atlanta thus far. After acquiring star F Angel Reese during the offseason, the Dream are 12-5 and currently occupy first place in the Eastern Conference.

Atlanta gets it done on both ends of the floor, ranking sixth in scoring on offense and third on defense. Reese is the Association’s leading rebounder with 11.8 per game, and the duo of guards Allisha Gray (18.8 PPG) and Rhyne Howard (18.7 PPG) is handling scoring duties.

The Dream had won four straight games before dropping one on Wednesday in a 77-66 outcome at the Chase Center.

For the Valkyries, year No. 2 as an expansion franchise has seen them raise their winning clip by nearly 8%. Head coach Natalie Nakase’s crew is faring much better on the offensive end, improving their offensive rating from 103.9 to 110.1.

Protecting the paint on defense and firing away from deep on offense have helped pave the way for Golden State thus far. F Gabby Williams is the Valks’ top player, averaging 16.3 PPG and canning 37.1% of her 3-point tries. She’s played a major role in Golden State getting out to an 11-7 start — tied for third in the West.

On Wednesday, Williams scored 23 points on 9-of-16 shooting en route to a double-digit win despite the team being outscored by 12 in the final frame. These two sides will face off once again on Independence Day, making it their third clash in five contests.

Dream vs. Valkyries Prediction on Spread – 6/26/26

Here are the key game stats and trends behind our Dream vs. Valkyries prediction on the spread for Friday, June 26’s game.

  • As a road favorite this year, Atlanta is 4-4 against the spread. The Dream also routinely bounce back after rough showings, being 4-0 ATS coming off a loss.
  • Golden State’s interior promise is legitimate, but that’s where Atlanta may be second to none. Reese and Co. lead the league in fastbreak scoring (13.5 PPG), points in the paint (43.5 PPG), and rebounds each night (44.7).
  • Pace could be a factor in this one. The Valks take 69.2 shots each time out, ranking fourth leaguewide. Atlanta cedes the fewest per-game attempts (63.8) to its foes.
  • There’s no more disruptive defense than the Dream’s. According to databallr, their +3.0 net rating swing via forcing turnovers is first by nearly double.
  • The gap on offense is also worth mentioning, as Atlanta is first in impact compared to league average (+4.9), whereas Golden State is eighth at +2.5.
