Vikings vs. Browns Prediction, Picks for London Game
Minnesota is stamping its passport for a second straight week, traveling from Dublin to London. The Vikings aim to bounce back after a 24–21 loss to the Steelers last Sunday, which dropped them to 2–2 on the season.
The Browns head to London with a new face under center, as rookie Dillon Gabriel replaces veteran Joe Flacco at quarterback. Cleveland’s offense has struggled mightily, scoring 17 or fewer points in all four games and ranking 31st in the NFL in points per game.
Minnesota Vikings
- The Vikes will again be without rookie QB J.J. McCarthy, who will miss his third consecutive game. Veteran Carson Wentz steps in for another start under center.
- After a 48–10 blowout win over Cincinnati in Week 3, the Vikings were limited to just six points through three quarters in the loss to Pittsburgh.
- Offensively, they rank 26th in PFF’s passing grade and are averaging 184.8 passing yards per game.
Cleveland Browns
- The Browns hope Gabriel is the answer to fix this struggling offense. They've scored just 1 first-quarter TD all season, which came in last week’s loss at Detroit.
- Despite the offensive issues, Cleveland’s defense has been elite. According to PFF, the Browns own the league’s top overall defensive grade, including the highest grade against the run.
- After topping 300 total yards in each of their first two games, the Browns have failed to eclipse 250 yards in the past two.
Vikings vs. Browns Picks & NFL DFS
Vikings QB Carson Wentz vs. Browns Projection: 195.5 Passing Yards
- Wentz ranks 14th in EPA/play at 0.131. He’ll face a Browns defense that ranks eighth in EPA/play allowed at -0.042. His previous two opponents — Pittsburgh and Cincinnati — ranked 22nd and 25th, respectively.
- Wentz didn’t need to do much in the Week 3 rout of the Bengals, throwing for 173 yards on just 20 attempts, thanks to 2 defensive touchdowns. However, he aired it out against the Steelers, finishing with 350 yards on 46 attempts.
- He’s tied for seventh in air yards per attempt (8.4), but faces a Cleveland defense that has surrendered the fewest air yards in the NFL.
- Cleveland has held Joe Burrow, Jordan Love, and Jared Goff all to fewer than 183 passing yards this season.
Browns RB Quinshon Judkins vs. Vikings Projection: 75.5 Rushing Yards
- Judkins has emerged as a bright spot in an otherwise stagnant Cleveland offense, averaging 79.0 rushing yards per game.
- The former Ohio State standout missed the season opener, but has surpassed 82 rushing yards in each of the past two weeks vs. Green Bay and Detroit.
- Minnesota's run defense has struggled. The Vikings rank 24th in rushing defense (130.3 YPG allowed) and 26th in Rush EPA.
- Judkins is 12th in the NFL in yards after contact with 205. Among the top 27 RBs in that category, he is the only one to achieve that in just three games.
Vikings WR Justin Jefferson vs. Browns Projection: 70.5 Receiving Yards
- Jefferson enters Week 5 ranked seventh in the NFL with 326 receiving yards, despite three of the players ahead of him having played five games.
- The LSU product has posted 75+ yards in each of his last three games, including a season-high 126 yards against the Steelers last week.
- Cleveland has allowed just one receiver to record more than 70 receiving yards this season: Baltimore’s Zay Flowers had 75 in Week 2.
- According to PFF, Jefferson ranks 26th in receiving grade this season — a dip from his No. 8 ranking in 2024, when QB Sam Darnold was leading the Minnesota offense.
