Missouri vs. Kansas: TD Scorer Prediction
Kansas RB Daniel Hishaw
- After patiently awaiting his moment, Daniel Hishaw is Kansas’ unquestioned RB1.
- Entering Week 2, Hishaw leads the Big 12 in both rush attempts (27) and yards (158) — though he has played two games.
- The next-closest Kansas ball carrier is RB Johnny Thompson Jr. with 13 carries for 51 yards.
- Kansas is tied for 27th nationally with 38 rush attempts per game.
- Missouri held Central Arkansas to just 73 passing yards in Week 0 but surrendered 154 yards on the ground.
Kentucky vs. Ole Miss: TD Scorer Prediction
Ole Miss RB Kewan Lacy
- Ole Miss RB Kewan Lacy already has more rushing yards (108) than last season (104) despite playing in five fewer games.
- Ole Miss’ No. 2 RB, Logan Diggs, has less than 50% of Lacy’s carries entering Week 2.
- Lacy’s 3 TDs on the ground lead the SEC.
- As the Rebels continue to let QB Austin Simmons find his footing, Lacy is a prime candidate to potentially keep chugging along.
Oklahoma vs. Michigan: TD Scorer Prediction
Michigan RB Justice Haynes
- Michigan RB Justice Haynes’ debut couldn’t have gone much better. He amassed 159 rushing yards and 3 TDs against New Mexico.
- Michigan’s primary backup for Haynes, Jordan Marshall, averaged just 2.6 yards per carry in his first game of the year.
- Oklahoma surrendered an average of 4.5 yards per carry against Illinois State in its initial 2025 contest.
- At 5-foot-11, 210 pounds, Haynes can stay on the field even if the Wolverines get near the goal line.
Mississippi St. vs. Arizona St.: TD Scorer Prediction
Arizona State WR Jordyn Tyson
- Following surgery for a late-2024 injury, Jordyn Tyson is all the way back as Arizona State’s top wideout.
- Against NAU on August 30, Tyson hauled in a staggering 12 passes for 141 yards and 2 scores.
- A season ago, Mississippi State ranked 91st nationally with 19.8 completions allowed per game.
- Early Heisman candidate, QB Sam Leavitt, threw the ball 39 times in ASU’s opening game. That aerial attack bodes well for Tyson’s output.
Michigan St. vs. Boston College: TD Scorer Prediction
Boston College WR Lewis Bond
- Boston College WR Lewis Bond came out swinging against Fordham, going off for 11 receptions for 138 yards.
- The only stat Bond missed was a TD, as four other Eagles recorded at least one. Positive regression could be in play here.
- Bond boasts consecutive years of proven production, combining for 1,335 yards and 10 TDs across 2023 and 2024.
- Michigan State’s secondary can be leaky — the defense as a whole allowed 214 passing yards per game a season ago.
UNLV vs. UCLA: TD Scorer Prediction
UNLV RB Jai’Den Thomas
- There may not be a more exciting or productive collegiate player than UNLV RB Jai’Den Thomas entering Week 2.
- In just two games, Thomas has 212 rushing yards and 4 TDs. That leads all FBS rushers.
- Thomas averages 11.2 yards per carry and boasts the athleticism to break off chunk runs on command.
- In UCLA’s debut against Utah, the Utes ran roughshod with 286 yards and 4 TDs on the ground. Their run defense is suspect until proven otherwise.
- With a nickname like “Jet,” are you really counting this guy out?
BYU vs. Stanford: TD Scorer Prediction
BYU QB Bear Bachmeier
- BYU QB Bear Bachmeier was the first true freshman to start at the position for the program in a season opener, but he thrived in his debut.
- Bachmeier won Big 12 Freshman of the Week thanks to a 5 TD performance against Portland State.
- Two of those TDs were on the ground, highlighting the Cougars’ willingness to give their QB freedom within the offense.
- Stanford surrendered 21 rushing TDs last season and while they gave up an average of 4.0 yards a carry to start 2025, the jury is still out on this defense, as BYU is a step up in competition.
