Team and Culture Picks

Team picks are connected to sporting events that have a choice of two outcomes. Culture picks are the same, except the event will not be related to sports.

How to make a Team or Culture pick

Navigate to the Team and Culture Board to view the picks that are currently available. Choose an event, then lock in your expected outcome.

Included on the outcome options, you’ll see an estimated payout if that outcome ends up being correct. You’ll also be able to view additional information, such as the date when the prediction was first offered (or Opened), when the event reaches a conclusion (Close), and when correct predictions will pay out. Not all events will have a listed closing date.

When you are ready to complete your order, finalize your selection and proceed to the checkout screen. Here, you’ll choose your maximum entry fee.

How picks are priced

Team and Culture picks have an individual contract price, which serves as a single purchasing unit for that pick. The contract price will fluctuate between $0.00 and $1.00 each, depending on how popular a particular outcome is (more popular outcomes will command a higher price).

You can purchase as many full contracts as your limits allow, but you cannot purchase partial contracts. The dollar amount choose for your entry fee will determine how many contracts you purchase for a single pick, while also accounting for service fees associated with your order (see “Service Fees below). Your final price will never be more than your entry fee, but it may be slightly less.

All this information will be visible on the checkout screen, which will also give you the option to submit and finalize your order.

Note: Contracts for Team and Culture picks regularly go up and down in value, which will be reflected in the price you pay at checkout. If the price of your contracts go up significantly while you are in the process of submitting a purchase order, you will be notified of the change, and you can choose whether or not you still want to proceed.

Service Fees

Whenever you purchase or sell a Team or Culture pick, a service fee will be applied to your order.

The fee amount will vary, ranging from $0.005-$0.02 per contract. Total fees are rounded up to the nearest cent and will be added to your entry fee when purchasing an order, and subtracted from your payout when selling an order.

Service fees will only be applied when you submit an order to buy and/or sell contracts; they will not be applied to your payout if you hold onto your pick until it reaches its predetermined closing date.
