Refunds and Cancellations

There may be times when you want to change your mind about the pick you made or the money you spent. Usually the opportunity to change your decisions will happen before you hit submit, not after.

Deposits, for example, are always final after being submitted; we do not offer refunds on deposits.

However, there are a few situations where you can back out of your picks with little to no penalty.

Refund Window (Player Picks only)

Player Pick lineups may not be edited after they are submitted, but you may have the option to cancel within 5 minutes of submitting.

To see if a refund window is available, click the three dots on the top right of your open lineups tab and look for the option that says "Cancel Lineup". If that option does not appear, that means a refund window is not available for your lineup.

In certain specific instances, you may have access to cancellation periods that extend beyond the standard 5-minutes (see FAQ below for more details).

Early Exit

If you selected a Team or Culture Pick, you can sell at any time between pick submission and event closing time. Your payout will be (number of contracts purchased) x (value of individual contract) - (service fees).

If you selected a Player Picks lineup, you may be eligible for an early exit offer once at least one of your games has started and your players have started to accumulate stats.

Free Picks do not currently have any type of early exit function available.

Please refer to the Potential Outcomes page for a more complete breakdown of early exits.

P‍layer Picks Refund Window FAQ

‍It's been less than 5 minutes, why can't I cancel?

PrizePicks reserves the right to enable or disable lineup cancellation at their own discretion.

The option may be disabled for a number of reasons, including but not limited to: specific combinations of sports or players in a lineup, special promotional offers, Member account status, or past refund history.

Which lineups CAN’T be canceled within 5 minutes?

The following lineups may not be canceled even within ****the standard 5-minute grace period OR any extended cancellation period: ‍

  • In-Game lineups that include second half (2H), fourth quarter (4Q), or LIVE projections
  • Lineups where at least one game involving your picks has already started
  • Lineups that fulfill requirements for Missions, unless there is a DNP in your lineup AND none of your games have started‍

Lineups that meet the description above are considered final as soon as they are submitted, and are not eligible for a refund.

Can you ever cancel a lineup after the 5-minute cancellation period?

If a pick in your lineup is marked as a Did Not Play (DNP), and if no other picks in your lineup have started their respective games, then you may cancel your lineup even after the 5-minute cancellation period has expired.

My lineup was canceled but not by me. What happened?

If you did not cancel your lineup yourself, it may have been canceled by PrizePicks for any of the following reasons:

Ineligible due to DNPs: If DNPs or Reboots cause your lineup to only have one pick remaining OR cause your lineup to have only players from the same team, your lineup will be canceled and refunded.

Board Error: On rare occasions, a projection may be mistakenly left on the board after the game has started. This is classified as a board error, and will cause your lineup to become ineligible. Lineups that include this type of board error will be canceled and the entry fee will be refunded. For partial-game projections, such as 2nd Half (2H) or 4th Quarter (4Q), this rule applies if the projection remains on the board past the intended start time.

In addition to the reasons above, PrizePicks has the right to cancel any active lineup at any time at their sole discretion.
