Who Will Be the Falcons’ Next Head Coach? 3 Candidates to Replace Raheem Morris

NFL Black Monday brought its annual wave of fired coaches, one of the less-surprising being the dismissal of Atlanta Falcons coach Raheem Morris. The Falcons carried a 16-18 record over two seasons under Morris, and he failed to make the playoffs in each campaign.

Atlanta is searching for a new leader to steer the ship, begging the question, who will be the Atlanta Falcons’ next head coach? Let’s look at the latest projections on PrizePicks Team Picks.

NFL Futures: Who Will Be the Falcons’ Next Head Coach?

Here are the top three candidates to become the next Falcons head man on PrizePicks Team Picks, where you can pick a candidate to get the job and earn real money if you're right.

  • Klint Kubiak: 3.22x Yes | 1.23x No
  • Kevin Stefanski: 3.44x Yes | 1.25x No
  • John Harbaugh: 6.25x Yes | 1.05x No

Team picks data is live as of publishing and is subject to change.

Klint Kubiak (Seahawks Offensive Coordinator)

Seattle offensive coordinator Klint Kubiak helped engineer one of the league’s best 2025 offenses, averaging 28.4 points per game (third) and 5.9 yards per play (sixth).

Despite the Seahawks’ success, questions could surround Kubiak’s experience. He has not been a head coach and has three separate stints as an offensive coordinator, each lasting only one season. In 2021, the Vikings logged 25.0 points per game (13th), and the Saints recorded only 19.9 points per contest (24th) under Kubiak last season.

The son of Super Bowl-winning coach Gary Kubiak was also the 49ers’ passing game coordinator in 2023, and the unit led the NFL with 9.0 yards per passing attempt. This is similar to the 2025 Seahawks’ success, racking up 8.4 yards per passing attempt (second) compared to 4.1 yards per carry (25th).

Kevin Stefanski (Free Agent)

Among Monday’s layoffs, the Cleveland Browns elected to fire six-year head coach Kevin Stefanski. During his tenure, the Browns amassed a 45-56 record (.446 win rate) while earning postseason berths in the 2020 and 2023 seasons.

Before becoming a head coach in 2020, Stefanski was the Vikings’ offensive coordinator in 2019, leading the unit to 24.6 points per game (11th). The Philadelphia native was on Minnesota’s offensive staff from 2006 to 2019, which included several positional coaching positions (tight ends, running backs, and quarterbacks).

Similar to Kubiak, Stefanski is known as an offensive guru. Atlanta had a defensive-minded coach in Morris. Could this franchise be looking for a different strategy in 2026’s search?

John Harbaugh (Free Agent)

Baltimore's firing of John Harbaugh was Tuesday’s big news on the coaching carousel. The former Super Bowl-winning head honcho led the Ravens franchise for 18 seasons, earning 12 playoff berths.

Before taking Baltimore’s head man job, Harbaugh mostly made his chops as a special teams coordinator, coaching the Eagles’ group from 1998 to 2006 and the Cincinnati Bearcats’ unit for eight seasons (1989-1996).

Harbaugh was the longest-tenured coach in the league during the 2025 season. He’s built a reputation as the ultimate executive, putting his fingerprints on every unit.

Who Will Be the Falcons’ Next Head Coach?

Kubiak is already a hot commodity, landing interviews with the Falcons, Giants, Raiders, and Cardinals. Stefanski has also quickly drawn interest, ready for a chat  with the G-Men on Wednesday and the Titans on Saturday. Adam Schefter of ESPN quickly labeled the Giants as a favorite for Harbaugh, as well.

According to PrizePicks Team Picks, Kubiak is tied as the favorite to be the Browns’ next head coach (5.88x payout). Stefanski is the second favorite to lead the Giants (4.34x payout) and third favorite to land the Ravens job (5x payout).

Harbaugh has emerged as the clear favorite to coach New York (1.66x payout), and he features the second-lowest payout to be the Raiders’ next head coach (4x payout).

Despite numerous interviews, Cleveland could be a threat to land Kubiak, a hire that would likely look to address Atlanta’s underperforming QB room. Falcons RB Bijan Robinson led a strong rushing game (4.5 yards per carry), but the air attack posted only 6.8 yards per passing attempt (20th). Former first-round QB Michael Penix Jr. could use an offensive-minded coach to help his development, as the 2026 season could be a do-or-die campaign for Penix.

Kubiak stands out as the favorite, but Stefanski isn’t far behind. The former Cleveland head coach brings experience and would still address Atlanta’s need for an offensive savant.
