Pacers vs. Thunder: 2025 NBA Finals Game 4 Stats Preview
The Pacers were impressive at home during their Game 3 victory against the Thunder. While the Thunder led by five at the end of the third quarter, the Pacers pulled away in the fourth quarter, dropping 32 points.
Haliburton led the way for the Pacers, as he dropped a near triple-double with 22 points, nine rebounds, and 11 assists, on 9-of-17 shooting and 4-of-8 from 3-point range. Haliburton won the matchup duel against Thunder PG Shai Gilgeous-Alexander, who dropped 24 points, eight rebounds, and four assists.
Those 24 points were less than the 33.5 points that SGA was projected to score in Game 3.
Though the Thunder did receive great offensive contributions from both Jalen Williams and Chet Holmgren, turnovers were a factor for the Thunder loss, with 17 in the game.
The main catalyst for that was T.J. McConnell, who had five steals and scored 10 points off the bench to help the Pacers build momentum. Bennedict Mathurin was also a crucial part for the Pacers victory, as he had a game-high 27 points on 9-of-12 shooting.
Game 3 was an important win for the Pacers, as historically, the winner of Game 3 goes on to win the title 80% of the time. While that sounds promising, Game 4 will be a critical game for both teams.
The Pacers will either take a commanding 3-1 series lead on their home floor, or the Thunder will tie the series up at 2-2 and head back to Oklahoma City.
