Best MLB NRFI Picks on PrizePicks: Tuesday, 5/27
These are the two best NRFI Picks to target on PrizePicks MLB tonight in the 1st Inning Runs Allowed category
Braves vs. Phillies – 6:45 p.m. ET

On the surface, a matchup between the Braves and Phillies might not seem ideal to attack for NRFI.
The Phillies have scored the seventh-most runs (260) in baseball and have the sixth-highest OPS (.747). The Braves rank 19th (216) in runs scored, but they also rank 13th (.711) in OPS. Their lineup recently received a jolt with the return of OF Ronald Acuna Jr., who is 4-for-12 with two home runs and one double over three games since being activated from the IL.
The key to this game is the starting pitching matchup that might make scoring difficult for both teams.
The Braves will start Spencer Strider, who has been limited to two starts this season because of injuries. He has been a dominant force when healthy, recording a 36.4% strikeout rate for his career. Strider has also allowed a 1.08 WHIP for his career. The Phillies have a .783 OPS against left-handed pitchers this season, but righties have limited them to a .730 OPS.
Starting for the Phillies will be Ranger Suarez, who has not given up a run in two of his four starts this year. Although Suarez doesn’t miss a ton of bats, he has given up just 0.8 HR/9 for his career.
Suarez induces a lot of weak contact, allowing a 5.6% barrel rate and a 34.2% hard-hit rate for his career. He could prove to be a difficult matchup for the Braves, who have a .650 OPS against left-handed pitchers this season.
Catch the first inning of the Braves vs. Phillies game at 6:45 p.m. ET today on TBS.
Blue Jays vs. Rangers – 8:05 p.m. ET

The Blue Jays and Rangers have underwhelming lineups. The Blue Jays rank 24th in runs scored (207) and 19th in OPS (.693) in baseball. The Rangers are tied for 26th in runs scored (183) and rank 27th in OPS (.646). The Rangers biggest problem is that they are batting .222 as a team. The Blue Jays have just 46 home runs as a team.
Starting this game for the Rangers is Nathan Eovaldi, who has allowed one or no runs in each of his last six starts. For the season, he has a 1.60 ERA and a 2.58 xFIP. He has shown impeccable control, posting a 3.5% walk rate that has resulted in his 0.79 WHIP.
A bonus with Eovaldi this season has been his 27.6% strikeout rate, which is significantly higher than his career mark of 20.8%.
The Blue Jays don’t have their best starting option for this game with Bowden Francis set to take the mound. Through 10 starts, he has a 5.54 ERA. However, his xFIP is better at 4.60. His biggest problem has been allowing 2.7 HR/9.
Making things a little easier for him Tuesday is that the Rangers best power hitter is SS Corey Seager, who is currently on the IL with a hamstring injury.
